CiviCRM Tax Receipt Module

CiviCRM is an excellent tool for managing contacts and interactions, but, unfortunately, it does not provide the ability today to receipt donors in a way that complies with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines. Thanks to our work with a number of Canadian charities and not-for-profits, we have developed a module that extends CiviCRM's fundraising capabilities to provide Canadian tax receipts, both printed and electronic (while every effort has been taken to follow CRA guidelines, always consult with your auditors to ensure compliance with Canadian tax law).  This project has moved forward in collaboration with the wider open-source community.

Features Overview:

  • Print receipts for mailing or email as a PDF attachment
  • Issue receipts per contribution or aggregate into one annual receipt
  • View a donor's tax receipt history under their “contributions” tab
  • Re-issue lost receipts, with duplicate receipts watermarked as “duplicate”
  • Batch-generate receipts that have not yet been issued
  • Report on “receipts issued” and “contributions not yet receipted”
  • Fit printed receipts in standard A10 window envelopes
